  • The EAL (English as an Additional Language) team are available for support and are staff and parents to sign up to their  BLOG http://www.ealhighland.org.uk/
  • The blog contains suggestions for learning activities for EAL pupils, as well as information for parents (eg. advice from NHS on Covid 19: in a number of different languages)

At a time when children and young people are probably spending more time than usual in the online world, it is worth looking at the useful anti-online-bullying resources on the respectme website here.  There is support material here for children and a very helpful section called “Bullying – a guide for parents and carers”.  You can find that under the tab “Guidance for adults”.

Children’s Parliament 👪

The Children’s Parliament had an amazing 4000 children aged 8-14 participate in an online survey entitled “How are you doing?” during the month of April.  A short report is available HERE.

They have also recently launched Edition 1 of the Corona Times Journal. Created by Members of The Children’s Parliament, it is helping adults to understand the impact that the coronavirus is having on children’s lives. Read more from the MCP journalists HERE.
