Match the Miles for 2020

Please see below exciting news from Velocity about this year’s Match the Miles programme for families to enjoy at home…

We wanted to let you know about a fantastic fun opportunity running next week. Jenny Graham (the fastest woman cyclist around the world) and Lee Craigie (the Active Nation Commissioner) have been running their annual Match the Miles competition (which was won by Millburn Academy last year, and the Inverness Royal Academy the year before!) and are moving it online this year! It is a great way to encourage staying active and fostering a sense of community, and accessible for everyone to join.

Below is a message from Jenny and Lee.  We’ll be promoting Match the Miles via Velocity Online and it would be great if you could possibly encourage pupils, parents and staff to get involved! Do let us know if you’d like any advice on joining 🙂

Happy May,

Jana and team Go ByCycle (jana@velocitylove.co.uk)

Message from Adventure Syndicate – Match the Miles 2020:

We have a very exciting new project that we’d LOVE for you to be involved in!

Our Match the Miles programme has had a 2020 adaptation to fit with our current situation.

From 11th to 15th May we’ll be bringing the The Highland Trail 550  to life from the comforts of our own homes!

We’ve developed the most amazing app which will help create the closest thing possible to a wild 5 day adventure through the Highlands of Scotland.

Watch this film to find out more or visit our website

And download the App click here 👉👉  Android  or Apple

These can also be found on your app store by searching “Match the Miles”

By signing up as an individual, household or school you’ll be committing to TWO hours of activity every day that week. Your time will be cleverly converted into heavily subsidised Covid miles which will take you on a journey you’ll never forget.

The aim of this interactive challenge is to engage fun activity into people’s lives but above all we hope to create a sense of community around this very special online adventure.

The week will be scattered with challenges and webinars on The Adventure Syndicate social media channels

There are prizes for EVERYONE who signs up and completes the challenge as well as some incredible spot prizes!

We’re super excited to see you on the start line….

Jenny and Lee
