MOL VE Day Tea and Celebrations

Good morning on this fine sunny day!

So today we have our own MOL VE Day celebrations with our VE Day Tea at 2.00pm. Please remember to join us for this if you can. There will be entertainment with a slideshow of the WWII and VE Day memories and pictures from our school community as well as song, music and dance!

We would like to thank you for the time you have taken as families to share and celebrate the lives of your family in the past and the experiences they had during that time. We have found the stories moving and the children’s engagement with this area of learning wonderful to see.

We very much hope you can join us for our tea party this afternoon marking the 75th anniversary of the ending of WWII in Europe. We will share a google meet link to join the tea party which will be saved in the children’s google classrooms from 1.50pm.

Tomorrow is the anniversary day of VE Day itself and a public holiday. There will be a number of public events held during the day. If you are keen to be busy with art activities during the day with your children, there are interesting activities on this site:

The Big Neighbourhood V.E Day Family Festival!

We would like to wish everyone a happy, relaxing long weekend and look forward to being back together in our virtual school community again next week, when on Monday, we will travel to another country again as our virtual world tour begins once more…

With very best wishes, Mrs Snedden
