Northern Stars – Update

Unfortunately given the guidance we have received from The Highland Council about cancelling public engagement sessions and the feedback we have received from parents so far, we have decided the best and safest course of action for us as a school community would be to remove ourselves from the Northern Stars competition.

As far as we have been made aware, the competition at this point is still going ahead but we feel it is the best course of action to make a decision today for the interest of our pupils welfare.  We have been in contact with Eden Court to seek guidance on whether it would be possible to refund tickets that have been purchased by the school community and when we have further information we will update you on this.

To allow our Northern Stars team to share their fantastic work so far, we would still like to rehearse on Monday afternoons until the end of next week and with the aim to perform our dance to the school at assembly. So after school rehearsals will still go ahead.  We will record this and share with parents so you can also have a chance to enjoy their performance.

Thank you to everyone who supported Northern Stars this year and a massive thank you to the pupils who have worked incredibly hard to build sets, design and choreograph the performance and deliver their ideas through the dance.

If you have any further questions and queries please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
