J Rock is taking shape – don’t miss out!

This week all our J Rockers had a fantastic visit from Mr James Cook who spoke to us about the themes within our piece that link with Equality and Diversity.  It really made us think about how we can use our performance to inspire others to think more about how we can make people feel valued and to celebrate our uniqueness.  He challenged us to make just one more person feel included and we are happy to say we are going to continue to build on this challenge.  Thank you Mr Cook for inspiring us.

Our performance itself is really taking shape with our choreographers Carla and Keryn really pushing us to be the best we can be! Well done girls, you are doing a fantastic job.  Every J Rocker has shown such commitment to our performance and the message we are hoping to portray.   We’ve even had an exciting tweet from the author of the book, Tom Percival, who is keen to know how we get on interpreting his story.  How exciting!

Tickets:

With the performance coming up on the 2nd April, we have been selling tickets for our performance.  We are now opening this up to everyone with no limit on the amount that you can buy.  Tickets are £14.50 per person.  If you would like to order some tickets please let the myself know by completing the attached ticket slip by clicking here J Rock Tickets (these will also be available at the office) and popping this in with either or cash or cheque to the office.

Parent Help

We would also welcome any help from parents and our community.  If you can give up a little bit of your time, any skills, or a van or form of transport which would help to move our set to Eden Court, please let us know.

Thank you, Mrs Macaulay
