Thinking Of Others at MOL

It’s been a super day here at MOL, celebrating World Thinking Day and Founder’s Day with our own Thinking of Others Day. We learnt at assembly about the wide range of thinking activities going on across the whole school, from a recipe for friendships, making a heart wreath, debating a range of topics around school, listening and discussing stories such as New Shoes, creating and learning about charities and of course, sharing some of our thinking bubbles. At least one class has signed up to a kindness calendar, making sure they do at least one kind act a day for the month of March. This has been a great celebration of thinking of others, and we are really proud of the children, from nursery to P7, for taking part so fully in the day.

A special thank you to Farquhar Forbes from Inshes Church and to Mrs Hearmon, who both came to the school today to lend a hand with our tidying in the playground. The courtyard is looking much neater and we are continuing with the tidy across the school grounds into next week. All classes are signed up to helping be responsible for the outdoors too – P2 were given a special mention at assembly for their hard work on outdoor duties this week – well done team! We will confirm dates at the start of next week when together with the Parent Council, we are organising two days of MOL in Bloom preparation in the courtyard raised beds, when we will be lifting the black weed control fabric, digging the ground over and adding compost ready for planting. Please look out for these dates in the dates for the diary in the school mail on Monday.

Also a huge thank you to Lynne who made 450 Rainbow cakes for the whole school to enjoy today – thank you! Also thank you for your donations towards our creation of a quiet thinking area with seating in the playground – we will let you know of plans for this soon. Meantime, please enjoy some of the snapshots of our Thinking Of Others Day at MOL 2019…
