Thursday is World Book Day and we have some exciting events planned. Our theme this year will be ‘MOL Magic’ and there will be lots of book themed activities with a magical twist! To tie in with our school focus on Health & Well-being, we will also be looking at what makes each of us ‘magical’, focusing on individuality and our own unique characteristics.
This will be a ‘Dress Down Day’ where children can come to school not in their school uniform. They may wish to wear casual clothing, pyjamas/onesies or dressed up as their favourite book character; particularly those from magical stories. They may want to come dressed as Harry Potter, Winnie the Witch, Peter Pan or a fairytale character. There will be no charge for dressing up/down 🙂
Furthermore, every child will receive a £1 book voucher which can be spent on a range of books valuing from £1 upwards or alternatively, exchanged (free) for one of the selected titles that will be on offer at participating local shops (full list can be found on the voucher).
So remember to dress up as your favourite character or dress down and be comfy…and let’s get booky!
