We would like to thank the whole school community for all their hard work, contributions and involvement in our Christmas celebrations this year.
We had a wonderful time in the snow singing carols as a whole school last Tuesday. This was followed by the fantastically successful Early Level shows on Thursday. The week was finished with a very busy, first community MOL Market of the year.
With news about our fundraising, we are delighted to let you know that the school Christmas raffle and teas/coffees at the various events last week raised a total of £497.31. This will be divided between the school and SCBU. Thank you for all your generous raffle donations which made it possible to raise this fantastic total.
Carol singing and bag packing at ASDA by P6 and P7 raised the super amount of £606.52. This will go towards outdoor learning at the school. Well done to all the pupils for representing the school so well and a huge thank you to the staff and parent volunteers who made this possible, taking the pupils back and forth to ASDA.
Finally, MOL Market raised a staggering total of more than £1500 which is an amazing amount, demonstrating the hard work and commitment of all involved. Well done the P7 team! The proceeds will be part of the year group’s social enterprise to be used for their enterprise and community events.
This has been a busy week of Christmas parties, ending tomorrow with the ELC party in the morning. There will be an assembly for pupils only in the early afternoon before the children return to class/ELC for the final part of the afternoon.
School breaks up at the usual time at 3.00pm.
We would like to take this opportunity also to thank all staff for their hard and commitment to the school, parents and the wider community for their on-going involvement and support at the school, and of course the pupils for giving it their all and making MOL the happy, productive place it is.
All this leaves us with now is to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We look forward to having you back with us at the school on Monday January 8th.
