World Book Day 2017

A little later than planned but time to think back to yesterday’s World Book Day and for you to share your memories. What was the best part of the day?

Look at the picture below of our amazing Where’s Moley? display that is fantastic. All those Moles on school grounds…we will have to start charging them squatter’s rates! Thanks to our artist in residence-Mrs G Macleod for her creative skills to create the background picture of the school that is quite MAGNIFICENT!!!!

And to Miss Vivian and Miss Williamson who organised the whole day.

Leave a comment and let us know what you thought of the day and our mural. And if you know where Moley is…please let us know!!

I liked the quiz about Harry Potter the best. I was in Gryffindor and we made a tie with the colours of Gryffindor which were gold and red.

We drew a dragon for the Hobbit but we ran out of time and didn’t get to colour it in. We managed to label all the parts of the dragon which included the scales and the tail.

I enjoyed listening to the teachers reading their books. For example I liked the Charlie and the Chocolate factory story the best because it was really funny.

I Really enjoyed world book day. I had great fun going round all the different classes. We took part in a Harry Potter quiz and it was fun seeing everyone dressed up even the teachers. I love to read and can’t wait to spend my voucher.

I really enjoyed coming to school in a book character costume. In class we read the Cat in the Hat, which I have never read before. I think I will try and read some of the other Dr Seuss books too. We also wrote a poem about our favourite book character, so I wrote about Peter Rabbit – it was amazing! One of my favourite activities was in Mr Kane’s class, where we had to be detectives.
