I am posting to make a polite request to any parents who bring dogs near or into the school during the morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up, to please ensure that when your dog is being tied up or left unattended, that it is far enough away from the routes that children will be passing as they enter or leave school.

As you will know, dogs are not allowed onto school grounds but we have no issue with well-behaved dogs being taken to the edge of school grounds/gates whilst you drop off your child. The reason for this fresh request is that I have been made aware that on a couple of occasions, children have been a little frightened by unattended dogs who have reacted to children walking past.

Thanks for your support in this.
