Drum-A-Thon 2012….where the BEAT never stopped!

Phew…what a day! Well, we did it…we managed to keep the BEAT going from precisely 9.45am right through until 2.45pm with NO breaks or rests at all. Steve must be absolutely exhausted right now and ready for a lie down in a dark room! Every child from Nursery through to P7 had at least 20 minutes of a drumming experience and the smiles on each child’s face was so lovely to see! As you will be aware, the purpose of the Drum-A-Thon was to raise money for the STV Appeal and I am thrilled to be able to report that our grand total (correct at 3.23pm) is £527. A massive thank you to all parents and pupils who have contributed towards this extremely worthy cause.

STV cameras appeared at 10.30am and filmed our P3 pupils in action! We should appear on both STV News at 6pm tonight as well as on the live STV Appeal Show which begins at 7.30pm. Miss Haines and Miss MacBeath are representing the school and will be handing over a large (sized) cheque live on air so please tune in to see MOL go national!

What a superb day which has once again been completely made by the enthusiasm and excitement of the MOL pupils. Special thanks to Steve for keeping going all this time….!!!

  1. Just sitting watching the appeal and feel immensely proud that “our” school took the the time to support it. Yet another reason to feel very thankful and proud to be a part of this school. Thank you
