Sports Day 2012

As the rain lashes down outside, I am left to reflect on whether my rather red, sun burnt head  was actually as a result of today’s Sports Day! We clearly had the weather gods on our side as the beautiful sunshine certainly helped to make the day even more enjoyable.

From my perspective, it was a fabulous day in which a great deal of planning all came together well and most importantly, every child I spoke to…had fun!

Many thanks to all the parents and staff who helped make today such a memorable event and also to the many parents who came along to watch…you were a great audience!

Two special thanks to Mrs Brown (PE Teacher) and to Tracy T for her ‘insider’ knowledge which helped me to co-ordinate where things were meant to go!

Congratulations to Pinewood for winning the House Championship and to Daniel M and Katie M for being crowned P7 Sports Champions…

One down…just Nursery Graduation, M-Factor and Leaving Assembly to go!!!

  1. What a fabulous well organised day. All the children did superb and their behaviour was outstanding. I think this really should be a yearly event.

  3. Hi Thought it was an excellent sports day and that it went really well – thouroughly enjoyed it! Thankyou for organising it along with Tracy, Mrs Brown and the rest of the staff.

  4. We had a fantastic day watching all the competitors! It was evident just how much work had gone in to making sure the day ran as smoothly as it did. I felt very guilty being able to sit back and enjoy so a huge thank you to all those who helped in the running of it. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their day and they were all so supportive of each other and very sporting indeed. A great day!!
