MOL P4/5 Football Team at Fun Fours Final in Edinburgh

Yesterday the Milton of Leys FC P5 team took part in the National Finals of the SSFA Four Aside Football Festival at Meggetland Sports complex in Edinburgh. The boys competed against teams from Dundee, Troon, Edinburgh, Stranraer, Angus, Peterhead and Glasgow who had all qualified for the finals from their own Regional events so this really was a good test against some of the best players and Schools from across Scotland.  The boys narrowly lost the first 2 games as they got up to speed with the pace and physical nature of the event and then went on a great 5 game unbeaten run, winning the last 4 games in style. They played some superb passing football along the way with some clinical finishing in scoring 24 goals.  The team were Euan F, Innes M, Ryan M, Lewis S & Clarke H. Once again the boys were a credit to the School and their Parents in representing the Highlands & Islands Region. They can be very proud of their achievements in both reaching and during the finals, especially in our first year as a School and as a Football team. We would also like to say a huge thank you on behalf of the Milton of Leys team to Mrs Hearmon who travelled with us and was a fantastic help over the whole day.
