A message from MOL Safer Routes to School Team

This weekend has seen an increase in traffic on the Milton of Leys Distributor Road. This is due to the Inshes slip road from the A9 being closed and it will remain so until 22nd January. Traffic is being diverted up the Drumossie Brae and is supposed to go back down the old A9 road but some people are using Milton of Leys as an alternative route. Some drivers will not necessarily be aware that there is a school beside the road. Also, as witnessed over the weekend, not everyone is aware of the correct speed limit and are speeding through Milton of Leys. Traffic is expected to get even worse from Monday when a lot of people go back to work after the festive break.

Therefore can all parents and children please take extra care over the next few weeks when going to/from school and ensure all safe routes for crossing are used e.g. the underpass.

Take care.
